Our Philosophy
A few generations ago, people could be artisans because time, labor, and value were understood differently. Work was slower, local, and tied to necessity rather than speed or scale. Objects were made to last, skills were passed down over years, and craftsmanship was respected as a lifelong pursuit. Without constant pressure for mass production and immediacy, artisans were given the time and space to work carefully and with intention.

Larry Barnes
Larry Barnes has spent more than three decades in the high-end residential construction industry, beginning with a background in architecture and progressing into executive leadership roles within the luxury homebuilding market. His experience spans design development, project management, construction operations, client relations, and the successful delivery of complex custom homes and renovations throughout North Carolina.
Throughout his career, Larry has developed a reputation for exceptional organization, attention to detail, and a commitment to creating homes and spaces that reflect both architectural integrity and the unique vision of each client.

Will Barnes
Will Barnes has been hands-on in residential construction from the very beginning of his career. Building on that foundation, he has continued to refine his knowledge and craftsmanship through extensive experience in fine woodworking, custom cabinetry, metal fabrication, and welding.
His passion for creating distinctive architectural features and custom pieces brings an artisan's perspective to every project, combining traditional craftsmanship with creative problem-solving and precision execution.
Together, Larry and Will have built Key Creations around a shared belief that exceptional residential spaces are created through thoughtful design, disciplined execution, and an unwavering commitment to craftsmanship.
